The hinged lid is also a photo frame; it comes with a lovely art print, under glass, that reads: "Our hearts will always be filled with joyful thoughts of you." Attached on top of glass is an engraved gold tone metal heart locket that opens to hold one or two small photos.
The art print can be changed out for a favorite 6" x 4" photo; the removable back under lid makes it easy.
Inside box is a small compartment with clear glass top that shows the high quality Sankyo musical movement.
When key under box is wound, music will play when lid is open and stop when it is closed.
