Some people say that we're living in a post-electronics world.  The cell phone has become the replacement for almost all other forms of technology- or so the story goes.

While it's true that the average Zoomer seems to be surgically connected to their cell phone, it's also true that to a certain extent, the gild is off the lily, so to speak.  Where previous generations were astounded and enamored by progressively smaller and smarter phones, recent years have seen a bit of a reversal.  Tiny cellular phones have given way to progressively larger screens, until we've almost come full-circle, where phones are- dare I say it- being used as phones again, and not as inconveniently tiny PCs.
