SounLove is a quiet and kind member of our artisan family. She was injured when a large earthquake hit Haiti in 2010 and the ground split under her home, causing her home to split as well. SounLove was on the second floor when this happened, and the fall caused extreme damage to her leg. Her leg had to be amputated under her knee and she spent three months in a hospital recovering. SounLove lost many loved ones in this earthquake and her mother was left paralyzed. She appreciates her job because of the "opportunity it provides to her and others to make money and care for her needs." It can be especially difficult to find employment in Haiti when you have any sort of disability. Vi Bella is committed to providing good employment to those who need it, regardless of disability.
